Subjected to Frustration

Do you ever have one of those days or times when you're just frustrated in general for no particular reason? This verse jumped out at me this morning:

Romans 8:20 "For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope"

What I glean from that verse (and the ones following it) are as follows:

1) Frustration is actually something the God wants for us to feel at times

2) This frustration is felt by all creation so you're not alone in feeling that way and at times there may actually not be a concrete or definable reason for your frustration

3) As a Christian we do have hope since we can look forward to our new bodies

4) However as a Christian, we also still "grown inwardly" as we wait since we don't yet experience all that is to come in heaven.

Hopefully I haven't taken too much out of context. Those are simply my thoughts on these verse at this point in time.

I get frusterated when I feel I am not making progress which means I am usually frusterated these days. So anyways, you're not alone.

I better go empty and fill this dishwasher again so I can do it again tomorrow...

If life wasn't frusterating, we wouldn't need heaven.

Your old sister,

Maria

I have those days sometimes... I think you gleaned some great thoughts from that verse.

It is shocking to think that God is subjected them to frustration. He will allow whatever it takes to press us to Himself, Who is our Peace and Rest.

Truly we do GROW as we groan : ) if we groan in humility to Our Savior and Merciful Lord.

So glad you are blogging. Love you, Mom

Maria - You're right, we would probably just want to keep on living here on earth if we didn't have frustrations.

BTW, if you're my 'old sister' then I'm old too since I'm just two years younger. But then again if you're my 'older sister,' that still makes me old since older has to be older than old, right? Anyway, just know that we're still young. Living with someone who's 92 and thinks that 70 is young has made me change my definitions of age!

Anna and mom - thanks for reading and commenting!
